Hello!
Thank you for considering me as someone who can help you build a toolbox full of life-changing academic strategies.
I bring a wealth of experience in academic and learning strategizing, having worked with several Canadian post-secondary institutions including the University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge, and Yorkville University. My current role as an Accessibility Advisor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology has further honed my skills in advocating for and implementing accessibility initiatives. I am a member of the Supports for Adults "Action Team" with the Learning Disability & ADHD Network, Calgary Region. Our strategic goal is to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities and/or ADHD have the necessary support, resources, and opportunities within the Calgary region to be successful and thrive.
My background also includes various educational roles such as a university instructor at the University of Saskatchewan, a teacher within several public school boards, and an educational program developer for multiple non-profit organizations, including a graduate student association.
I specialize in crafting personalized academic strategies for post-secondary students with diverse learning needs. Depending on your goals, these strategies may encompass scheduling, time management, memory retrieval techniques, organization, goal-setting, self-advocacy, study skills, conflict resolution, creative information documentation, strengths recognition, and stress and anxiety management related to tests and assignments.
I am passionate about encouraging students to pursue a learning path that aligns with their interests and readiness. It is my privilege as an academic strategist to design engaging and inclusive sessions that allow students to access, develop, and connect with strategies in multiple and creative ways.
Please see below for a list of my academic credentials and certifications.
I look forward to meeting you!
